Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to meet members of the Operation Sindoor delegations in New Delhi on June 9 or 10. These delegations, which included parliamentarians across party lines and seasoned diplomats, were dispatched to 33 countries following the Pahalgam terror attack to strengthen India’s global stance against terrorism.
The teams were tasked with presenting India’s position on cross-border terrorism and building support for Operation Sindoor. Their engagements included high-level meetings with foreign governments, policy institutions, and strategic experts to explain India's concerns and gather global perspectives on regional security and counter-terror efforts.
Seven delegations were formed, each led by senior leaders such as Shashi Tharoor, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Supriya Sule, Baijayant Panda, Kanimozhi, Sanjay Kumar Jha, and Shrikant Shinde. They are now set to brief the Prime Minister on key developments, diplomatic feedback, and international reactions to India’s message.
In a show of political consensus on national security, these missions marked a rare bipartisan foreign engagement. Ahead of this, PM Modi is also scheduled to chair a council of ministers meeting on June 4 to assess the domestic and strategic progress of Operation Sindoor.
